Color Analyst for High School Football on WLXN
This fall I am continuing to pursue my dream of becoming a sports broadcaster by working as a color analyst for High School football games in my hometown of Davidson County. I am the newest member of the sports team at KOOL 1440 AM and 99.9 FM WLXN out of Lexington. Each week we cover a "game of the week" that involves High School football teams in Davidson County. Each week we air at 7 p.m. on Friday nights for our pre game show which leads the listener right up to kickoff. Then, after the game we have a post game show with interviews and wrap up discussions. I am cultivating my sports broadcasting skills by interviewing coaches, researching team and player information, preparing spotting charts, and learning how to deliver during the games on Friday night so to entertain and paint a picture for our audience. You can tune in down in the Lexington/Winston-Salem area on 99.9 FM or you can always listen on the world wide web at WLXN.com or use the tune in radio app on a smartphone device.
